Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) seeks an innovative and forward-thinking leader to serve as its next Senior Associate Dean for Student Affairs for the MD Program. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and seasoned student affairs professional who is steeped in graduate and professional student experience and desires to lead in an environment that fosters holistic student support that allows them to thrive. Reporting to the Dean for Medical Education and the Chair of the Department of Medical Education, the Senior Associate Dean will provide leadership, direction, and administrative oversight for the Office of Medical Student Affairs and in the support of ISMMS medical students reaching their fullest potential. The Senior Associate Dean will oversee the development and implementation of programs and services within the MD Program that support and promote student well-being and personal growth, career advising and professional development, academic advising and learning success, and student milestone events. In all their work, the Senior Associate Dean will ensure that the work of the Student Affairs team fosters an inclusive learning and work environment grounded in the principles of holistic support throughout all they do.

With more than 2,500 residents and fellows, the Icahn Mount Sinai graduate medical education program is the largest in the nation, which enhances and expands medical students to a rich cadre of career and mentorship opportunities.
The successful candidate will have at least five years of progressively responsible and relevant administrative experience in higher education, preferably in a medical education or professional school setting; a strong student-centered philosophy and record of student engagement; and knowledge of contemporary and current national trends in medical and professional student success models. The next Senior Associate Dean will be an experienced leader who holds a deep commitment to collaboration, relational leadership, and creative problem-solving and thinking while also demonstrating exceptional administrative, financial, and managerial acumen. The Senior Associate Dean will have a demonstrated commitment to advancing the ideals and tenets that have been proven to foster community, engagement and belonging and will champion education within a preeminent research institution and clinical leader that serves New York City's most diverse and marginalized communities. A Ph.D., Ed.D., M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree is required.

Salary Range
The total compensation for this position is estimated to range from $250,000 to $350,000, commensurate with experience.
The total compensation of the candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The total compensation hiring range represents the School's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
