Under the direction of the Registrar, Mount St. Mary’s University seeks a detail-oriented and service-driven Assistant Registrar to support the essential functions of the Registrar’s Office. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of academic records, supporting faculty and students in the registration process, and ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Spearheading the university’s implantation of ARTSYS (The Maryland Transfer Articulation System).
Acting as a liaison between admissions and the registrar’s office for transfer evaluation.
Performing transfer evaluations for incoming student athletes.
Helping coordinate catalog updates and transfer policies.
Developing and maintaining the universities’ CLEP, ACE, IB, and AP policies.
Acting a liaison between appropriate departmental chairs and the registrar’s office for developing transfer equivalencies.
Performing data entry functions as required.

$50,000/year

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a registrar’s office or similar academic administrative setting preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and commitment to maintaining student data confidentiality.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred proficiency with Registrar office information technology (e.g., Jenzabar, ARTSYS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Demonstrated commitment to student service and collaborative teamwork.
